Thank you to Graham for another enjoyable Come and Sing day on Saturday 5 October in Long Sutton Village Hall, singing ‘the birds’.  We would also like to thank the visiting singers who boosted our sound and from whom we have received some lovely comments:

‘Thank you for the most enjoyable day.  The programme for the event was truly inspired.’

‘I did enjoy the day and you were all so friendly.’

‘Thank you to Graham.  I enjoyed his manner and admired his knowledge.’

After a good icebreaker and warm up our programme was based around the theme of birds and included Mozart’s ‘Sparrow Mass’, Handel’s ‘Nightingale Chorus, Gibbons’ ‘Silver Swan’ and Vaughan Williams’ ‘Turtle Dove’, interspersed with tea, coffee and home made cakes!

These pieces of music will be the basis of our performance at our Autumn concert on Saturday 30 November in St Andrews Church, Curry Rivel.
